Kissy Kissy

Performance, 2025

Description

Prior to the performance: 100 small images of me painting in 1977 were I handed out in envelopes to the audience -as this mini performance / conversation / talk involved some time travelling. I began and ended the performance with brief accounts of 2 cases of unwanted male attention, rebuffed with an element of risk/humour at my studio at Chisenhale 1980 and on the Tower Bridge rd in 1979, the two incidents sandwiching my strategy as a 24 year old for dealing with lack of male attention during meetings when trying to save our studios at Butlers wharf, where I was resident: 1977-79.
